About the Author
Aaron Hyde is a High School Junior attending Mt. Ararat High School in Maine. He was the youngest kid to compete in the state bee two years in a row (2009 & 2010) and in his 8th grade year at the state finals, went 22 rounds (longer than anyone) without missing a question. Today, although he is often busy with his AP classes and XC practices, he still enjoys learning about the many countries of the world and the cultures that inhabit them.
Kahoot Practice Competitions
Every week we host practice geography bees using Kahoot a quiz generator, while the format is not exactly like that in the bee, many of the questions used are actually reworded versions of ones from past years. In addition, the winners are posted here and are awarded honorary bragging rights. Information about the dates and times for these are posted along with some potentially useful study material.
Quizlets
At GBSB we have our own Quizlet account that features flashcards constructed based on the requests of our subscribers.
